Good friends can make you "FAT"

I happen to read an article which stated "Social networks play a surprisingly powerful role in determining an individual's chances of gaining weight"...

So all those who are on a weight losing spree.. you know what needs to be done! The approach is very simple. Stay away from your friends!!!

Sometimes it is just impossible to decifer how such conclusions are derived , is it ever possible that people whom you enjoy to be with can make you fat. The theory is extremely hillarious!!!

By the way i have also learnt or rather heard " Fat people are happy" So now you choose what you want??? Your dear friends.... Happiness.... or???????

Marketing Marvel!!!!

This is a must watch video. How many of us truely like starbucks for its coffee??? I have to confess that I dont. But i still visit their outlet for the message that theydeliver. Also they always come up with these AV ads which are simply fabulous.

The point that i want to make here is whether a Brand can sustain with these kind of strategies and may be not improve their product???

I think that way ahead for marketers is to focus on CSR activities which is related to the current issue , this not only puts the brand in the limelight but also helps them to be the top of the mind recall click. Rather in the marketing lingo, it tops the list in your consideration list!!!

Chili's.......... Its really cool!

"Have you had the best steaks in the town?" This was the first thing that i read when i stepped into Chili's. Well Chili is a pulsating energy driven Mexican restaurant. The bar amist the buslting corners is like haven for the ships. The vibes in the air was exhilarating, full of fun and happiness.

The regular protocol was followed and we were escorted to a table of our choice by a hostess. The menu landed in our hands within no time. The menu was exclusively mexican, thankfully was not diluted as it is the case with most of country specific cuisines. However i will have to admit that it was hard to find a vegetarian dish on the menu. The search was on, by the time the lady was next to me to assist me in my search.

To hear us and also that she was heard she bend down on her knees. I thought that was very striking, shows how much they want the guests to be comfortable when they are placing the order. We asked her for her recommendation, which she promptly said. We trusted her and asked her to go ahead with the order.

We had just sipped the first sip of the water, and the sizzling Roasted Veggies was on our table. Now that was indeed quick, very very quick. There were the other side dishes, accompaniments that followed the main dish. As we all know that Mexican accomapniments are more than the main dish. Phew! i sighed seeing the food on the table. The portion size was homongous.

I started nibbling on the veggies, was perplexed what sequence the taste buds was like to follow. Whilst, there was a higgledy - pigglely kind of a situation, the flavor and the experience was beyond any questions.

So what was so different about this place that made me so cheerful and has forced me to blog it? Isn't it cliche and like a laundry list for a restaurant to deliver all that i mentioned above?
"Whats so special?" One of the striking feature of CHILI was its people. They were extremely warm, made me feel so comfortable. This was because there was superb co-ordination amongst themselves, inlcuding the managers too. This helped in smooth flow of the hustled operations, which was passed on us... the guests

Finally the Moral of the story is................moral that we have been hearing of ever since.... "PEOPLE ARE UR BIGGEST ASSET".

Take care of them and they will take care of the rest!!!!

Thank you to all at CHILI'S for the lovely evening!!

Ooops.... I forgot to mention that yesterday at Chili's we (all the guests, the people at chili's, the servers, managers) celebrated the b'day of one of the guest, that to in their local language (mexican). Isn't that coooolllll... So Chili is COOL!

Carre Four....... Whom?

I was drop dead tired after scanning through the entire Carre Four store in Abu Dhabhi, that is my favourite pass time nowadays. Ofcourse i was puzzled with the various stuff the store had, particularly the grocery section.

During the time of billing, the person across the counter would just refuse to even see my face. He was not even busy doing something productive, but he was adamant that he would excercise his face muscles.

I made all the efforts that to make his job simpler, by lifting the stuff from the trolley and placing in on the billing counter. Finally the bill was ready and i made the payment. I waited there thinking that somebody will dump the stuff in the plastic bag. Suprisingly no one was present and the billing counter personnel didnt even bother.

So with all the disgust i did it myslef. What irked me the most was that the lady standing behind me was helped by the counter person. He was just at his best with her. Needless to say that she was a foreigner.... but so was I ....Right????

So what went wrong???? No clue!!
