"Have you had the best steaks in the town?" This was the first thing that i read when i stepped into Chili's. Well Chili is a pulsating energy driven Mexican restaurant. The bar amist the buslting corners is like haven for the ships. The vibes in the air was exhilarating, full of fun and happiness.
The regular protocol was followed and we were escorted to a table of our choice by a hostess. The menu landed in our hands within no time. The menu was exclusively mexican, thankfully was not diluted as it is the case with most of country specific cuisines. However i will have to admit that it was hard to find a vegetarian dish on the menu. The search was on, by the time the lady was next to me to assist me in my search.
To hear us and also that she was heard she bend down on her knees. I thought that was very striking, shows how much they want the guests to be comfortable when they are placing the order. We asked her for her recommendation, which she promptly said. We trusted her and asked her to go ahead with the order.
We had just sipped the first sip of the water, and the sizzling Roasted Veggies was on our table. Now that was indeed quick, very very quick. There were the other side dishes, accompaniments that followed the main dish. As we all know that Mexican accomapniments are more than the main dish. Phew! i sighed seeing the food on the table. The portion size was homongous.
I started nibbling on the veggies, was perplexed what sequence the taste buds was like to follow. Whilst, there was a higgledy - pigglely kind of a situation, the flavor and the experience was beyond any questions.
So what was so different about this place that made me so cheerful and has forced me to blog it? Isn't it cliche and like a laundry list for a restaurant to deliver all that i mentioned above?
"Whats so special?" One of the striking feature of CHILI was its people. They were extremely warm, made me feel so comfortable. This was because there was superb co-ordination amongst themselves, inlcuding the managers too. This helped in smooth flow of the hustled operations, which was passed on us... the guests
Finally the Moral of the story is................moral that we have been hearing of ever since.... "PEOPLE ARE UR BIGGEST ASSET".
Take care of them and they will take care of the rest!!!!
Thank you to all at CHILI'S for the lovely evening!!
Ooops.... I forgot to mention that yesterday at Chili's we (all the guests, the people at chili's, the servers, managers) celebrated the b'day of one of the guest, that to in their local language (mexican). Isn't that coooolllll... So Chili is COOL!
